Favorite Written PLR

PLR has gotten a bad rap over the years. With good reason–there is some really awful content out there. The good news is, there are several quality PLR writers as well.

In general, if you pay pennies per article, you will get what you pay for.

Yet, you can get great content for just a few dollars per article

The kind of pre-written content that you will get for that price will be equivalent to the work a 3-4 star writer on a site like Textbroker would provide. That would cost you about 3-4 cents per word.

Cost Comparison

PLR: $2-4 for 400-500 words

Article Service: $15-20 for 500 words

You should expect to re-write your PLR if you plan to publish it to your website. This will make it unique so that you have a chance to rank. If you publish the same PLR as someone else, chances are the most authoritative site will rank.

So why bother? Well, PLR will shortcut your time. Rather than done-for-you content, I consider it done-for-you research. The best PLR just needs to be re-worded into your own voice and maybe add in a couple hundred words of your own thoughts and experiences to make it unique.

If a typical blog post takes you a couple hours to write and research and you can cut that down to 30-45 minutes just imagine what you can do with that extra time!

Written PLR doesn’t need to be used as blog posts though. You could easily use a post in an informational email and you wouldn’t need to edit it at all.

Some PLR also includes add-ons like email sequences, social media posts, and e-books. This makes it easy to create a full content funnel leading to your related product.

For example, you could create a lead magnet from PLR that leads to an email sequence that ultimately promotes your book or product.

Tip

Combine 2 or more PLR articles together to make your articles unique. Even better if you combine PLR from different providers.

My Top 5 Favorite Providers

I have personally used or reviewed the following PLR providers and consider them the best in terms of quality.

I define quality both in terms of how well they write as well as the quality of the information.

One thing to note about PLR content is it does tend to be written fairly generically. This is on purpose, so that it can be easily customized into your own voice.

Some of these links are affiliate links and I may earn a commission. I believe in transparency and have clearly marked which links are my affiliate links.

Piggy Makes Bank

PMB is one of my favorite PLR providers due to the quality of the content and writing. I have bought both their business and self-help archives. They also cover some lifestyle topics and are known for their 30 day challenge content. They offer several free PLR samples so you can test out the quality before you buy.

Health & Wellness PLR

Jennifer Anderson is another top writer in the PLR space. The content is well written and focuses on physical and mental wellness. This is one of the few providers I have a lifetime pass with. Jennifer often does journal prompts that would be great for use in themed journals.

Flaming Hot PLR

If you are looking for PLR that is a little longer (600-800 words) and is written with a little more personality, Arun is your man. His shop boasts a wide variety of topics and he focuses on articles and ebooks/reports. Check out his free sample pack to judge the quality for yourself. One of the best, even if he does say so himself (and he does).

PLR Minimart

Tiffany Lambert may just be the queen of PLR. She is an experienced and prolific writer. She has over 900 products in her shop, primarily written content like articles and ebooks and she writes it all herself. She also creates review packs on various themes--great if you do gift guides. This is the other site I have a lifetime pass for.

PLR.me

PLR.me operates on a slightly different model. You purchase credits and then can spend them on articles, worksheets, courses, reports, etc. I love that their content is a-la-carte, however they do offer bundles of related products. You can earn 2 free credits per month when you sign up. That's enough to get you a sample article or two. I have been impressed with everything that I have downloaded from this site.

Other Written PLR Providers Worth Considering

The following PLR writers are still very good, but for one reason or another didn’t quite make my best of the best list (there were only 5 spots after all).  It may be that I just haven’t used them as much. It may be that I had an average experience once or twice. It may be they fell just shy of the top 5.

All of these are still worth checking out and I have and will continue to use them myself.

Niche Starter Packs

I really like April LeMarr and she could just as easily have made my top 5 list. I have a lot of her content. April is a great source for a lifestyle or mom-blog. She also puts out an excellent bundle twice a year.
